Pubilla rag doll

100% handmade rag doll, dressed in the Catalan folk costume. La Pubilla is, in the Catalan tradition, the eldest daughter and the first in line of the family succession, unless there are male children in it. 

The Pubilla has no equivalent in any culture. She's a representation of the young Catalan woman and a tribute to her strength and elegance.

• In her costume there can be found working elements such as the white shirt, the apron and the decorative features, the black velvet of the bodice being one of them.
• On her skirt there will always be floral motifs and petticoats. White stockings and espadrilles, known as "set vetes" will not be missing.
• Their clothing is completed with the gandalla, a net that collects the hair and the "mitenes", long gloves made of that same net.
• The doll comes with a cloth bag.

An authentic souvenir from Catalonia while also being a toy that takes us back to our traditions.
